About

St Kevin’s Church is one of Dublin’s finest gothic-revival buildings. It was designed by E. W. Pugin & G. Ashlin, and built between 1869 and 1872, though the work of decorating the interior continued for several years afterwards.

From 1880 until 1974 Cardinal Newman’s University Church on St Stephen’s Green, served as a chapel of ease to the parish.

In addition to being a parish church, St Kevin’s is also home to the Latin Mass Chaplaincy of the Archdiocese of Dublin, which draws people from all over Dublin and beyond.

Since February 2020, St Kevin’s has also become the home of the Dublin Oratory in Formation.
